This popular half day tour showcases the very best of Perth and Fremantle. Continue along the coast via Cottesloe Beach to the port of Fremantle. A brief tour of Fremantle will reveal the unique charm for which it has become renowned, from historic port buildings to the many shops, cafes and markets. You may leave the tour and spend a few hours in Fremantle, return by train (own expense). Follow the Swan River back via the exclusive suburbs of Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove and Dalkeith passing by the homes of the rich and famous, returning to Perth at approximately 12.30pm. Rejoin your afternoon tour at 1.15pm from the corner of Pier and Hay Streets. Travel out via Burswood Resort Casino to the historic town of Guildford learn of the history surrounding one of Western Australia’s oldest towns and it’s link with the Swan River. We now enter the “Swan Valley” renowned as one of the states finest wine producing areas. Our first stop this afternoon will be at Western Australia’s oldest and best known vineyard – Sandalford Wines. Enjoy a short stop here for wine tasting and the opportunity to purchase wine from their extensive cellar. Next, we visit Caversham Wildlife Park where you have the opportunity to feed Kangaroos and touch the cuddly koalas. We then make an enjoyable stop at the Swan Valley outlet of the Margaret River Chocolate Factory. On our return to Perth you will visit Bibbulmun Aboriginal Handcrafts, here where you may purchase local aboriginal handcrafts and enjoy a Boomerang throwing demonstration, before arriving back in Perth at approximately 5.30pm.

Today your air-conditioned 5 star coach will travel out through the Darling Ranges and Jarrah Forests to the historic town of York. Named after York in England, York was the first township in the Avon Valley. Continue east to the wheatbelt town of Hyden and the major highlight of today – Wave Rock. Time here to enjoy an Australian Style Picnic lunch and join our Aboriginal Guide for a tour of this unique granite formation. Formed by the relentless forces of wind, water and time, Wave Rock stands as a lonely monument to nature. After lunch joining our guided tour of formations such as Hippo’s Yawn Cave, The Humps (rock formations resembling camel humps), Gnamma Holes (Aboriginal water reservoirs) and Mulka’s Cave and Aboriginal Cave Paintings (learn the legend of the outcast Aboriginal “Mulka the Terrible”). Our return journey takes us along “back roads” through the heart of the Western Australia wheatbelt, to the small farming town of Babakin. During the wildflower season (September to December) roadside stops will be made to view some of the native wildflowers. Late this afternoon travel back through the Darling Rangers and enjoy panoramic views of Perth’s city lights before arriving in Perth at approx 8.30pm.

Known as one of Australia’s finest wine regions, the Margaret River Region is an area also blessed with natural beauty. Providing a diverse range of activities, this tour allows you to experience this high profile Western Australian area in one day. This morning travel down to the coastal town of Busselton to enjoy morning tea (own expense) and whilst here marvel at the Busselton Jetty, a two kilometre construction, the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere. Stop at the Cape Lavender Farm to view the beautiful gardens or maybe make a purchase from the extensive Lavender products they have on sale, alternatively try one of their famous Lavender scones. Continue south to the Margaret River Wine Region where you can enjoy some free time in the Margaret River Townships. Afterwards we head to the Lake Cave Tearooms where you can enjoy a picnic lunch and, time permitting, visit the CaveWorks Interpretive Centre. Next we head to mammoth Cave to experience a guided tour of one of over 300 natural underground limestone caves in the district. Travelling south we pass by stunning Boranup Forest, a visual highlight of the region before driving past Augusta’s famous Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, a geographical point of significance marking the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans. Next stop is a winery where you have the opportunity to taste some famous Margaret River wines. Returning to the north of the region we break at a café for a light dinner, return to Perth with arrival at approximately 9.30 pm.
