Skyrail will take you on an amazing experience over Australia’s World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest canopy and deep into the forest. The famous Kuranda Scenic Railway was built over 120 years ago and winds its way through the tropical mountain ranges between Cairns and Kuranda.
Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park is located within walking distance of Skyrail’s Smithfield Terminal and combines dance, history and legends to create a dynamic interpretation of 40,000 years of culture.

Enjoy a delicious hot buffet lunch served with salads, cheeses, and tropical fruits surrounded by colourful Lorikeets. After Lunch we head into the township of Port Douglas, where you’ll have plenty of time to wander the many boutique shops along Macrossan Street or stop for a few drinks at the Courthouse Hotel or Iron Bar (own expense). See the famous Four Mile beach and relax or stroll along beautiful pristine white sands. Join a guided tour and see the endangered cassowary, handfeed free-roaming kangaroos and wallabies, and view the many free-flying parrots, cockatoos, and other native birds at the award-winning Wildlife Habitat (morning tea included). At the Daintree River Cruise Centre, cross the Daintree River on cable-driven ferry into Daintree National Park, a spectacular wilderness region. Spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife as you journey through the mangroves. Arrive at the other side of the Daintree River and travel along the rainforest fringed Cape Tribulation Road though the Daintree National Park. Stop at Alexandra Lookout for magnificent views. Stop at Floravilla Art Gallery and Ice Cream Factory for a picnic lunch. At Dubuji Boardwalk enjoy a guided rainforest walk and visit Myall Beach before your return journey back to Cairns.

On arrival in picturesque Kuranda, enjoy free time to explore the Kuranda markets, art galleries and various attractions. Later, climb aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for your return journey to Cairns, passing over 40 bridges and through 15 tunnels. At various points you’ll take in views out over the Coral Sea. Tour may operate in reverse.

Enjoy a show by the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers, set in a rainforest amphitheatre. Try your hand at boomerang throwing then board the amphibious Army Duck, crossing land and water through the rainforest. Relax over a tropical barbecue lunch. Journey back to Cairns on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, passing waterfalls and ravines. Please note: Tour may operate in reverse.
