Experience the multicultural heart and soul of Broome through its local delicacies. This is a town tour with a difference – the perfect introduction to Broome for travellers who are keen to explore a different side of this diverse outback town: friendly people, secret places, colourful history and especially, the local produce and cuisine. Our afternoon epicurean adventure explores the highlights of this remote Kimberley oasis and its fascinating history while indulging in its best culinary secrets. Along the way, our guide will also reveal the town’s favourite restaurants and their signature dishes, providing real local insight into eating out in Broome. Visit the Kanagae Estate to see the mango orchards and sample some of their delicious local produce including mango wine and fudge. Indulge in fresh oysters at the Broome jetty and enjoy local beer tastings and a special platter of Broome delicacies at the Matsos Boutique Brewery while learning of its unique history. Take a peak into Broome’s pearling past at the Japanese Cemetery and discover the land from an indigenous perspective, sampling traditional bushtucker at Minyirr Park, a cultural corridor of native habitat bordering Cable Beach. We finish the day with a delightful cocktail style BBQ and pearl meat tastings, watching the sunset on Cable Beach.
